Sanwei Hynover is a very fast blade, often compared to other high-end offensive models. Its construction, particularly the inner Kevlar carbon layers and Hinoki outer plies, enables powerful and explosive shots, especially on drives and smashes. While some descriptions mention mid-speed characteristics, player feedback and testing clearly place it at the higher end of the speed spectrum for offensive blades.

Despite its impressive speed rating, Sanwei Hynover maintains commendable control. The Hinoki outer plies and specific placement of the inner Kevlar carbon contribute to decent dwell time and clear feedback, allowing for controlled loops and precise ball placement. Players with established offensive strokes find they can effectively manage and direct its substantial power.

Hynover provides a crisp, medium-hard feel characteristic of blades with carbon reinforcement. While the Hinoki and Birch layers introduce some dwell and feedback, it's not as soft or flexible as an all-wood blade.
